Summary:
If you confirm the engine cooling fan is louder than normal. And there is a noticeable lack of power when accelerating in traffic, particularly in hot weather. Actions 1. Reprogram the ecm, if necessary. 2. Perform engine fan coupler function inspection. - with engine temperature between 80-95c (176-203f), confirm that cooling fan speed responds to the commands of the ecm with the procedure starting on page 10. 3. Service information if a customer describes lack of power or poor acceleration, perform the following checks before attempting any repair: * check for stored DTCs. * check if the driver is resting their left foot on the brake pedal while accelerating. Advise the customer not to rest their foot on the brake while accelerating. * use consult-iii plus in engine data monitor to check operation of the brake lamp circuit signal. Monitor the brake switch during the incident; it should be "off". Please see this bulletn for further details.

Action: apply molykote m77 grease (p/n 44003-7s000) to the hub bearing surfaces. If you confirm: the following incidents with the auto drive position system: * door mirrors do not go back to the original preset memory position after the vehicle is shifted into reverse, and then shifted back into drive. * return position of mirrors drifts farther and farther from original memory preset as mirror is cycled from the drive to reverse positions (cumulative). * with vehicle in park and engine turned off, the seat and steering wheel do not move when exiting vehicle. Transmission & engine automated data collection and diagnostic reporting service information to support proper diagnosis and to promote fixed-right-first-time ? Infiniti may review consult-iii plus (ciii plus) data relating to vehicle operation and function to help with vehicle diagnosis and diagnostic validation. Important: for transmission/engine repair or replacement, retailers are required to connect c-iii plus and perform ?Diagnosis (all systems)?. Performing c-iii plus ?Diagnosis (all systems)? Is also required prior to contacting any infiniti call center (I.E. Tech-line, pcc, or wcc) for diagnostic support or claim preauthorization. Note: for additional information regarding automated vehicle data collection, refer to iwbi/18-019. To support automated vehicle data collection, your c-iii plus must have the diagnosis result reporting function-setting turned on. If diagnosis result reporting function-setting is off: - it may cause dealer consideration for audit or the anomalous repair control (arc) program, where applicable. - it may result in a repair being non-warrantable. Refer to the service procedure on the next page to confirm your c-iii plus ?Diagnosis result reporting function-setting? Is turned on.
