The owner's manual that comes with your car provides great guidance for cleaning and maintaining the various components and materials used in your vehicle. It outlines manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule and the time or mileage intervals at which they should be performed. It includes maintenance schedules from simple procedures such as adding windshield washer fluid, replacing wiper blades or checking tire air pressure to more complex procedures such as changing engine oil, replace engine belts or changing transmission fluid. The manual also provides your car's specifications and explains the manufacturer's warranty of the emission control system. It also contains useful information such fuel type, recommended tire pressures, location of parts, operating instructions and important warnings you should know. Your owner's manual also provides explanation of technical terms, such as ABS (anti-lock braking system). Knowing the meaning of them will help you to explain your car problem to your mechanic.
